In 1961, Multnomah Channel Yacht Club was formed by a group of people interested in boating and family fun. Club members purchased a boathouse in 1963 and remodeled it into a clubhouse. The clubhouse was moored under the Sauvie Island bridge at Red's Moorage, now called Larsons. In 1989, we moved to our own moorage in Scappoose. As MCYC continues to grow, so does our moorage. Docks and covered slips have been added. In 1996 we purchased the old Columbia River Yacht Club clubhouse, moved it to our current location and remodeled it.

Over the years, MCYC has built a reputation as the friendliest Club in the Portland area. Club members continue to show their hospitality and kindness to everyone in boating, as well as the non-boating community. If you are interested in joining, please click here.
