Welcome aboard!  In 1961,  Multnomah Channel Yacht Club was formed by a group of people interested in boating and family fun. A boathouse was purchased in 1963 and remodeled into a Clubhouse. The Clubhouse was moored at the then "Red's Moorage", later called "Larson's", under the Sauvie Island bridge. In 1989, we moved to our own moorage in Scappoose. As MCYC continues to grow, so does our moorage. Docks and covered slips have been added. In 1996 we purchased the old Columbia River Yacht Club clubhouse and moved it to our location and remodeled it and finish up work continues.

Over the years, MCYC has built a reputation as the friendliest Club in the Portland area. Club members continue to show their hospitality and kindness to everyone in boating, as well as the non-boating community.
